Zuzana Šedivá, who earned several awards for her achievements in the fields of hospitality and gastronomy. The hotel was open on September 18, 1998. Since its beginning, it has been a favored retreat for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, offering the fresh Tatra air and stunning views. The opening ceremony took place on October 31, 1998. This spectacular event marked the launch of the first 4-star hotel in the High Tatras. The opening ceremony attracted numerous prominent figures from the fields of tourism, politics, and culture. The hotel owner and his team welcomed guests on the red carpet, greeted by live music and elegant décor that reflected the luxury and sophistication of the new establishment. Immediately after its opening, the hotel earned acclaim for its exceptional quality and services. Guests admired not only the beautiful location and views of the Tatra peaks but also the top-notch hotel amenities. The opening of the hotel also had a significant impact on the local community, providing new job opportunities and supporting the local economy.

The most significant event in the hotel's history occurred in 1999, when it hosted a meeting of the Visegrád Group presidents, including Václav Havel, Árpád Goncz, Alexander Kwasniewski and Rudolf Schuster.

The hotel underwent partial renovation in 2018/2019.
